Summary: Very quaint suite in a very nice neighborhood, close to good dining and grocery store. The only fault I could find was the tube/shower. Hard to get in and out of safely. The host was a great guy and made us feel at home. Highly recommend it especially if you don’t have to spend a lot of time in the quarter.

Summary: An awesome neighborhood to stay in - quiet with several great restaurants within walking distance. We got a 3 day Jazzy pass and used transit all over town. Neighborhood seemed teally safe. Bed was comfy and Herb, our host, left lots of extras to make us feel very much at home.town. Herb

Summary: Lagniappe on De Soto is a very cozy and eclectic hangout. Very comfortable king size bed. Nice garden in the back. Herb and Louie are very congenial hosts, well informed about the neighborhood and NOLA in general. We didn't know much about Bayou St. John, but it is a great little jewel of an area away from the touristy chaos of the Quarter. It has terrific restaurants and attractions of its own.

Summary: This rental unit is in a historic home and it's pretty much an efficiency apartment. Herb had it fully stocked for our stay and greeted us warmly as we arrived after a long drive. You can tell he's done this for a while because he had everything we could've wanted: coffee, creamer, sugar, lots of ice, lots of clean towels, extra toilet paper, large TV with cable, wifi, shampoo, soap, adequate dinnerware, cookware, great heating/cooling system, and even a bluetooth speaker and nice hidden little patio area--along with a nice bottle of wine. This was classic New Orleans and we were within walking distance of some great restaurants and not far from the Quarter. Initial entry and exit were both smooth as silk; and we would highly recommend a stay at this charming little apartment the next time you're in Nola.

Summary: Unfortunately, the day after we arrived, I came down with bronchitis and spent nearly the entire week in bed. Herb, our host, was great. He brought some fresh fruit for me and asked if there was anything he could do to help. He gave my wife a ride to the Quarter where she went to a cajun cooking school. I hope to return to New Orleans in 2025 and would definitely stay at Herb's rental again.

Summary: Handsome well-furnished and comfortable studio space in a great spot just off Esplanade and very near the Racetrack. Host was helpful and hospitable. There was indeed ample parking out front and virtually no noise from the host’s home above.
